The rain moved back into the region overnight last night into early this morning, and we will keep a few rain showers into the forecast this morning, otherwise the clouds will stick around for majority of the day, along with some patchy dense fog. High temperatures are heading for the lower 40s by late this afternoon.

We will keep the cloud covering into the forecast overnight tonight, and we are also looking for dense fog to develop once again, and it could be widespread across the region, with the potential for another round of Dense Fog Advisories tonight into Saturday Morning.. Overnight low is dropping into the lower 30s.

Weekend forecast

The first half of the weekend remains dry with plenty of cloud cover, we will hold onto some patchy dense fog, especially in the morning hours. High temperature is heading back into the lower 40s by Saturday afternoon, before some cold temperatures work into the region for the end of the weekend and the start of next week.

Looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday, we will keep the cloud covered around and most of us warming dry, but we will hold onto the chance of a light wintry mix southeast of Metro Detroit. High temperature is dropping into the upper 30s by Sunday afternoon.

If you’re heading to the Lions watch party at Ford Field on Sunday evening, temperatures into the mid-30s with the doors opening around 5:00 PM and dropping to near the freezing mark by the time the game winds down under a mostly cloudy sky.

Next week

As we look ahead into next week, the active weather pattern continues. We keep the cloud cover into the forecast on Monday before the chance of a wintry mix moves into the region looking ahead into Tuesday. Then the cloud cover sticks around once again for Wednesday, and another chance of a wintry mix moves in by the time we get to Thursday.

High temperatures will remain into the upper 30s to start the week, and warm into the lower 40s by the time we get to Wednesday and Thursday.
