4Warn Weather – A push of spring-like warmth also brings with it rain chances to end the work week. This is before reality sets back in next week.
Clouds are increasing Wednesday night as temperatures only drop into the middle 30s. This is closer to where our high should be this time of the year.
Thursday
Thursday is, for the most part, a dry day, but that changes in the evening hours as a few showers are set to return. They move in from the west around 8 p.m., and this first batch should exit by midnight.
Friday
However, we’re not done with the rain, as chances hang around during the overnight and early part of Friday. What we see fall Friday morning will be spotty in coverage and should be pretty light. This rain looks to fall around 4 a.m.- 10 a.m. Friday. Then, the rest of Friday looks dry.
The other big story about Friday is the record warmth. After topping out in the middle 50s on Thursday, we’ll be near 60 on Friday.
Our forecast calls for a high of 59 degrees at Metro Airport. It will set a new daily record high temperature if this holds true. The current record is 56 degrees, set back in 2001.
Weekend forecast
The weekend looks alright for the most part, but a couple of raindrops may need to be dodged here and there. The best chance comes Saturday morning, but even those chances don’t look great. Sunday, another slight chance for a drip or a drop remains possible.
Next week
Next week, reality sets back in as the clouds return and cooler temperatures prevail. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday will be back in the upper 30s.
