4Warn Weather – It’s going to be a warmer than average Wednesday. Clouds build in this morning with temperatures starting on either side of 30 degrees.
Expect partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies today. Temps will be just a smidge warmer, but still more than 10 degrees above average, with highs in the mid-40s.
Tonight’s sunset is at 5:55 p.m.
Warming up + rain
The warming trend will continue for the rest of the week, with near record temperatures expected by Friday. We are looking at highs in the 50s on Thursday and Friday.
Our next rain chances arrive late on Thursday. We expect widespread rain to build into our region moving west to east, covering all of Metro Detroit by around 9 p.m.
The rain isn’t expected to be too heavy, and will quickly pass through.
Showers will continue into Friday morning before daybreak, but then are expected to fizzle out. Any lingering showers will be scattered.
Chance for rain this weekend
There will be a slight chance for scattered showers on Saturday, as well. Otherwise, expect clouds and cooler temperatures with highs dropping back into the 40s.
We’ll continue to slide back to reality next week with more seasonal temperatures making a return.
Elsewhere ...
Heavy rain and a flooding threat continues Wednesday in the Southwest. Heavy snow will spread into the intermountain West and Rockies. High snowfall rates and strong winds could lead to difficult travel conditions.
