4Warn Weather – After an unseasonably warm end to the week, colder temperatures move into Metro Detroit on Saturday.
The week ended with a record-high set at Detroit Metro Airport in the mid-60s. Even though colder temperatures move in on Saturday, we are still going to remain above average.
Some of us saw a few rain showers overnight last night into early this morning, but we will keep the dry weather around as we work throughout most of the day today. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds, with highs heading into the middle 40s by Saturday afternoon. It will be breezy throughout the day as well with the west wind sustained 5 to 15 miles an hour gusting as high as 25 miles an hour.
The dry weather continues into the overnight hours tonight, we will keep some cloud cover around overnight as well. Colder once again overnight tonight, overnight lows dropping below freezing into the upper 20s for most everybody.
For Super Bowl Sunday, we are expecting mixture of sunshine and clouds to continue for the end of the weekend, and temperatures a few degrees colder for the end of the weekend. High temperature is heading for the lower 40s by Sunday afternoon.
The dry weather sticks around to the start of next week, although we will look for a little more cloud cover to roll in late Tuesday night, expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds each day. High temperatures remaining of the 40s to start next week, before dropping into the 30s by the middle of the week.
For Valentine’s Day on Wednesday, the weather looks good for any of those date night plans. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day, with high temperatures into the upper 30s by Wednesday afternoon, temperatures into the low to mid 30s as you’re heading out into the evening hours on Wednesday.
If you’re looking for wintry weather, hold on until the end of the week, a low-pressure system is going to head for the region and that will bring us a wintry mix of rain and snow. By the time we get to Thursday. High temperature is remaining into the upper 30s by Thursday afternoon. And as that system moves off to the east, we will hold onto the chance of some light snow for the end of the week on Friday. High temperature is colder yet again but near average, and the middle 30s by Friday afternoon.
