Sunday night will be partly cloudy with clearing skies in Southeast Michigan. It will not be as windy and cold as the start of the weekend. Snow showers over the Thumb will also diminish as clouds clear. Lows will be in the lower 20s. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
Monday
Washington’s Birthday, or Presidents’ Day, will bring mostly quiet weather with the help of a high-pressure system over the Great Lakes. Expect more sunshine and less wind. It will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s to 40 degrees. Southerly winds will be 5 to 10 mph. By Monday night, it will be partly cloudy and cool. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.
Tuesday
Milder air will flow into the area for Tuesday. With partly cloudy skies, temperatures will climb to the mid 40s. Lows will be around 30 degrees.
Wednesday
Wednesday, it will get warmer with temperatures peaking around 50 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy for much of the day, but there is a chance of rain showers developing late. Lows will be in the mid 30s.
Thursday
It will be mostly cloudy with the chance of isolated rain showers on Thursday. Highs will be around 50 degrees. Lows will fall to the mid 20s.
Friday
Expect mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures on Friday. Highs will be around 40 degrees. At night, there is the possibility of a few snow showers. Lows will be in the mid 20s.
Saturday
Next Saturday, there is the chance of a few snow showers in the morning. Otherwise, we will have a mix of sunshine and clouds. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 40s.
