Rain chances this week
Our next chance of rain looks to arrive on Wednesday. Some computer models differ on the timing of this rain as of Monday, but so far, we’re expecting rain to arrive late Wednesday night and last throughout Thursday.
Following the rain, sunshine will return but our temps will drop a bit once again, with highs in the 40s on Friday, and in the 30s on Saturday. The cooldown won’t last for long, though.
Warming trend to last
We’ll warm back up into the 40s with some sunshine by Sunday. Longer-range data shows this warming trend could continue into next week, bringing our highs back into the 50s.
The Climate Prediction Center’s temperature outlooks for the next two weeks shows that Michigan temperatures will trend above average to end February and begin March. Our current forecasts agree, showing that we’ll more than likely be above average this week and at least part of next week, too.
