4Warn Weather – Skies will range from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy on this Wednesday morning. Some patchy fog is possible in a few spots.
We will have a lot less sunshine in Metro Detroit this afternoon, but we will have highs in lower to mid-50s. The normal high is 37 degrees for this time of year.
The high temperatures will be shy of the record high of 63 degrees, which was set in 1930.
Winds today will move out of the south-southwest at 5-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Tonight’s sunset is at 6:13 p.m.
Our Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with the chance of a few sprinkles. Temperatures will only fall to the upper 30s. Southerly winds will be 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
Rain showers on Thursday
Thursday will be cloudy with rain showers in the morning and afternoon.
Rain showers will develop early in the morning, especially for those more south in our region. Showers look to be widespread across Metro Detroit by 7 a.m.
That rain will continue with us for much of the day, becoming a bit more scattered at times in the afternoon.
Highs will be around 50 degrees. Lows will be around 30 degrees.
Cooling down to end week
A cooler air mass will flow over Southeast Michigan with a cold front on Friday. Highs will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s -- cooler than we’ve seen this week.
There will be a mix of sun and clouds with a few flurries possible.
Lows will tumble into the lower 20s.
The cooler temps will continue into the weekend. Saturday will be partly cloudy with temperatures near normal. Highs will be in the mid-30s, and lows will be in the mid-20s.
Warming up Sunday
Skies will remain partly cloudy on Sunday.
Temperatures will warm back up, jumping to the upper 40s to 50 degrees.
Those warm temps will continue into next week, with highs in the mid-50s on Monday, and the upper 50s on Tuesday.
