4Warn Weather – Our Friday begins with a cooler start for most of us, with temperatures on either side of freezing.
Clouds will build in today, covering the area. Highs will reach the mid- and upper 40s.
Tonight’s sunset is at 6:15 p.m.
Another cold front will usher in colder air tonight. We can’t rule out a few flakes flying this evening as the front passes through.
Some stray flurries are possible throughout the evening, starting possibly around 7 p.m.
Low temperatures tonight fall into the low 20s and teens with wind chills in the single digits by daybreak Saturday.
Snow showers possible Saturday
There is a slight chance for snow showers early Saturday morning, with a better chance along the Lake Huron shoreline.
Highs on Saturday will top out around freezing.
Warming up before a storm
We’ll quickly bounce back close to 50 degrees on Sunday with a warming trend on tap for next week.
A low-pressure system will bring rain chances late Tuesday into Wednesday. This is shaping up to be a widespread rain event, possibly heavy at times. Embedded thunderstorms and gusty winds can’t be ruled out.
As of right Friday, it appears that some snow could mix in on the back edge of that system Wednesday night into early Thursday as temperatures begin to slide again.
Elsewhere ...
Nationally, rain showers and a few thunderstorms are possible along the East Coast on Friday. Snow showers and some mixed precipitation are likely in the Northeast. High temperatures across most of the nation on Friday will run above average for this time of year.
