Sunshine, warmer temps return to Metro Detroit before next chance for rain

Rain, thunderstorms possible in Metro Detroit on Tuesday

DETROIT – If you didn’t get all the leaves up this fall, this will be a great weekend to get a jump on that spring yard cleanup.

Clouds will be slow to clear today but we should get at least a break or two of the sun later this afternoon. Light southerly winds will push our temps into the low to mid 50s.

Sunshine returns for Sunday with near record breaking temps in the low 60s. The record is 67 set back in 1974. Don’t think we will make it to the record but hey close enough!

Monday puts us in a better record position with a high of 69 degrees which would tie the record set back in 1983.

Rain and possibly thunderstorms return Tuesday.
