It is cooler than the record-breaking warmth, which sent the temperature to 74 degrees at Detroit Metro Airport on Tuesday; but it will still be milder than normal for the next couple of days.
As temperatures rise, clouds will decrease and give way to some sunshine on this comfortable Thursday. Afternoon temperatures will peak around 50 degrees.
Easterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph. Thursday night, it will be mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 30s. A light easterly wind will shift out of the east-southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Friday
It will be cloudy as wet weather returns Friday. Rain showers will start moving into Metro Detroit in the afternoon with the approach of a cold front. Slightly milder air will push temperatures into the mid 50s. Expect a rainy evening and night. Temperatures will only fall to the lower to mid 40s. Winds will be out of the east-southeast at 5 to 10 mph for much of the day and night.
Saturday
Saturday will be wet and breezy. Rain showers will be likely, especially during the day. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Highs will be in the lower 50s, but temperatures will drop noticeably by the evening. Rain showers could mix with wet snowflakes during the evening and nighttime hours. Lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
Sunday
Sunday will be blustery with a few isolated rain and snow showers early, especially over the Thumb, on the backend of a low-pressure system. Highs will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Northwesterly winds will be 10 to 20 mph with gusts in excess of 30 mph.
Normal highs through the weekend are 42 to 43 degrees, and normal lows are 26 to 27 degrees.
