This 313 Day will bring near-record warmth with highs around 70 degrees. Detroit's record high is 73 degrees (1990). We will have a lot of sunshine, but a spotty shower is possible south of I-94 in the afternoon and evening. (WDIV)

This 313 Day will bring near-record warmth. It will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny at times across Southeast Michigan as temperatures rise to near the record.

Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. The record high for Metro Detroit is 73 degrees (from 1990). The normal high is 45 degrees. A spotty shower is possible during the afternoon and evening south of I-94. Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 10 mph.

Clouds will increase as temperatures remain mild at. Lows will be around 45 degrees. Winds will be out of the east-northeast at 4 to 8 mph.

Thursday

Thursday, it will be mostly cloudy with showers and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. A couple of afternoon thunderstorms could become strong enough to produce gusty winds and some hail.

Temperatures will peak in the upper 50s to 60 degrees. Non-thunderstorm winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10 mph. Lows will fall to the lower 50s.

Rest of week

Cooler air will push into Metro Detroit. Friday and this weekend will bring more chances of precipitation as temperatures gradually cool to near normal over the weekend.

St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, could see scattered rain and snow showers with highs in the mid 40s to near 50 degrees.
