Warmer weather ahead for Metro Detroit next week -- here’s what to expect

Saturday highs in upper 30s; Sunday highs in lower 40s

There was a temporary break in the snow showers Friday afternoon across most of Metro Detroit. It is still snowing north of I-69, but this is expected to be a passing phase. (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – There was a temporary break in the snow showers Friday afternoon across most of Metro Detroit. It is still snowing north of I-69, but this is expected to be a passing phase.

Now - 7 p.m. A few flurries but otherwise mostly dry.

7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Light to moderate snow showers return and could put down a quick coating on top of the snow we got this morning.

As the night progresses, the skies will gradually clear, and temperatures will drop into the mid-20s, setting the stage for a potentially brighter day on Saturday.

We can expect a mix of clouds and some sun with highs in the upper 30s on Saturday.

Looking ahead, a promising warm-up is on the horizon for next week, which we’ll discuss in more detail at 11 p.m.
