4Warn Weather – We will keep the dry weather in the forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday.

High-pressure is controlling the forecast for Metro Detroit into Sunday Morning and will move off to the East as we work throughout the day. Mostly sunny skies can be expected for most of the day with a few more clouds rolling in for the afternoon and evening hours, high temperatures a few degrees warmer heading into the lower 40s by Sunday afternoon.

Clouds will increase overnight Sunday night early on Monday morning, with overcast skies expected throughout the day on Monday. High temperatures running at least 10° or better warmer, heading into the upper 50s by Monday afternoon. Expect the winds to be breezy with gusts high as 20 to 25 MPH as we work throughout the day.

An area of low-pressure will move into the Midwestern United States into the Upper Ohio Valley working through the start of the week. This will bring snow to portions of the Upper Midwest, and rain with thunderstorms to the Central and Lower Midwestern United States. Winter Storm Warnings are in place for areas like Minneapolis, then Wind Advisories are in place through a good portion of the Midwest as well down into the Tennessee Valley

That system will bring our next chance of rain rolls into the region looking ahead and into our Tuesday. Expect rain showers on and off from time to time along with breezy winds throughout the day. High temperatures remaining in the middle 50s by Tuesday afternoon. The winds will continue to be gusty throughout the day, expect wind gusts as high as 25 to 35 MPH as this low-pressure system moves through the region.

That low-pressure system will move off to the Northeast Tuesday night early on Wednesday morning, so we’ll hold onto a pre-dawn rain shower. Otherwise, partly cloudy skies can be expected with high temperatures heading into lower 50s by Wednesday afternoon.

High pressure builds back the end of next week, mostly sunny skies can be expected both Thursday and Friday.
