4Warn Weather – Our Friday begins clear and cool -- but there is of sunshine on tap. Our temperatures will rebound nicely today.
Skies will be mostly sunny today. Winds will be less breezy, as well.
Highs will climb into the mid-50s this afternoon.
Tonight’s sunset is at 7:56 p.m.
Holiday weekend rain showers
Widespread showers will arrive Saturday morning before daybreak. Some rumbles of thunder will be possible.
The early morning rain will mostly affect our southern and western counties. The rain will push north and east throughout the morning.
After noon, most of the rain should have pushed out of our area. But, there is a chance for our northern counties to get a second wave of showers mid-afternoon.
Highs will be back in the 50s.
We dry out on Easter Sunday. We’ll wake up to temps in the 30s, and highs will reach the 50s. Skies will be mostly cloudy.
Rain chances are possible after sunset on Sunday. Showers are expected to stretch across southern Lower Michigan around 11 p.m., and will continue into Monday.
Soggy start to next week
We could get a wave of rain showers Monday morning, with another wave late Monday lingering into Tuesday. Meanwhile, temperatures will settle near seasonal averages.
I can’t rule out rain changing to a rain/snow mix late Tuesday into Wednesday.
Elsewhere ...
Nationally, showers and thunderstorms continue to push through the New England region. A front moving across the west will keep mountain snow and low elevation rain chances in the forecast through Friday. Heavy rain is expected in central/southern California.
