The seasonal weather continues as we wrap up March.
After a wet day, Saturday night will be cloudy and cool. Patchy fog is possible with a few areas of mist. Lows will fall to the mid 30s. Winds will be out of the north-northwest at 4 to 8 mph.
Easter
There will be many reasons to celebrate on Sunday. Might the weather be one?
As people head out to services and Easter gatherings, it will be mostly cloudy and mostly dry. A few sprinkles cannot be ruled out near the state line or mainly south of Adrian and Monroe. Highs will be in the upper 40s to 50 degrees. Winds will be light as they shift from the northeast early to the southeast in the afternoon at 4 to 8 mph.
Sunday night, it will be cloudy with the chance of a few rain showers in areas south of I-96, mainly after 10 p.m. Lows will be in the upper 30s.
A slow-moving weather system will be responsible for precipitation through Wednesday in Southeast Michigan.
Monday
As students return to school on Monday, it will be cloudy with the chance of scattered rain showers; but the better chance of showers will be during the evening and night. Highs will be in the lower 50s. Lows will be near 40 degrees.
Tuesday
Besides rain showers and cloudy skies, Tuesday will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the mid 30s. As the system drifts northward from the Ohio Valley to Michigan and Ontario, it will intensify.
Wednesday through Friday
Wednesday will be windy with the chance of rain and snow showers. Thursday will dry out, but it will still be breezy. Friday, which is the Tigers’ home opener, and Saturday will have a mix of sunshine and clouds with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Is this weather normal?
The normal highs for the first week of April are 53 to 55 degrees and the normal lows are 34 to 36 degrees.
