Metro Detroit gets drier weather this weekend, partly cloudy for solar eclipse on Monday

Rain showers should move out before sunrise on Monday

Rain showers move out early Monday Morning with decreasing clouds towards the Total Solar Eclipse (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After plenty of cloud cover to end the week with colder temperature sticking around, we will look at improving conditions looking ahead into most of the weekend.

Expect a little more cloud cover to start the day on Saturday, but then decreasing clouds by the time we get to the late morning hours with skies going partly cloudy into the afternoon. High temperatures heading into the middle 50s by Saturday afternoon.

Mainly clear skies can be expected Saturday night and it will be another cold night as well. Overnight lows dropping into lower 30s.

Sunshine will stick around for the majority of the day on Sunday before a little more cloud cover works into the region. High temperatures heading into the low to mid 50s Sunday afternoon.

Rain rolls into the region late Sunday night into the overnight hours and should pull out of the region before sunrise on Monday morning. While we will start the day on Monday with some cloud cover, data is showing that we are looking at improving conditions as we head toward the solar eclipse on Monday afternoon. I am keeping a partly cloudy sky into the forecast as we are heading into Monday afternoon. High temperatures heading for the 60s by Monday afternoon.

We keep the cloud cover into the forecast as we have our next chance of rain showers moving in throughout the day on Tuesday. High temperatures remaining into the 60s by Tuesday afternoon.

Dry weather sticks around with clouds around Wednesday before widespread rain is back into forecast for end of next week for Thursday and Friday. High temperatures dropping a few degrees, heading into the lower 60s both Thursday and Friday.

Saturday Night: Mainly clear skies, cold temperatures. Low: 32. Winds: Northeast 5-10 MPH

Sunday: Partly cloudy skies, remaining dry. High: 53. Winds: Southeast 5-10 MPH
