4Warn Weather – Hopefully you were able to get outside and enjoy the near record warmth on Sunday. Yesterday’s high was 80 degrees, just 2 degrees shy of the record of 82-degree record set on April 14, 2023.
Coming off a wonderful weekend, let’s hold on to that sunshine for a sensational start to the work week!
Grab your sunglasses again -- we’ll hold onto blue skies on this Monday. It will be cooler than yesterday, but still well above the average. Highs will top out around 70 degrees.
Tonight’s sunset is at 8:15 p.m.
Skies will stay clear tonight. Temperatures will bottom out in the 40s.
Expect dry conditions to last through Tuesday. Sunshine will return for much of the day Tuesday, though clouds build in late ahead of our next rain maker.
Rain chances return
Rain will arrive before daybreak on Wednesday. That is when we’ll trade the shades for the umbrellas.
There is also a chance for thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening, and another chance for rain late Thursday into early Friday.
We’ll spend the rest of the work week with highs in the 60s.
We’ll dry out this weekend with cooler temperatures. Highs will be in the 50s. The cooldown is expected to be brief, as temperatures will rise into the 60s for the NFL Draft in Downtown Detroit.

Nationally, a storm system will bring the threat for severe weather to the Plains on Monday, followed by the Mississippi Valley on Tuesday. Otherwise, scattered thunderstorms will stretch from the upper Ohio Valley through the mid-Atlantic on Monday. Well above average temperatures continue across the central and eastern U.S.
