Chilly, mild for NFL Draft on Thursday

4Warn Weather – Clouds will clear out midday with Honolulu blue skies on tap this afternoon for the first day of the NFL Draft in Downtown Detroit.

Highs will be a little milder than yesterday, topping out in the mid-50s.

Tonight’s sunset is at 8:27 p.m.

Warming up into weekend with rain

A warming trend will continue into Friday as we welcome back sunshine, more seasonal highs in the mid-60s, and breezy winds.

Showers are likely Friday night. There is a better chance for rain to roll in before daybreak on Saturday. That rain looks to be more spotty throughout the rest of the day, and possibly into Sunday.

We’ll have windy and warm conditions this weekend. We could be flirting with record high temperatures on Sunday. The current record stands at 84 degrees.

We’ll stay well above average to start the next work week with highs trending in the 70s.

Elsewhere ...

Nationally, unsettled weather and severe thunderstorm chances will continue to expand across much of the central United States over the next several days. An increasing risk of flash flooding moves across parts of central and eastern Oklahoma Saturday night.
