Air quality alert, sunshine, and warm temps to start the weekend across Metro Detroit

Air quality values will be in the unhealthy for sensitive groups range

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for most of the region on Saturday with air quality in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) Range (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After a dry and warm day for most, but a few thunderstorms for some to end the week, we will keep the dry weather into the forecast, heading throughout the day on Saturday.

Dense fog can be expected early this morning, as it is a little more humid as you’re waking up early Saturday morning but expect that dense fog to give way to sunshine as we are heading into the afternoon. High temperatures heading for the lower 80s by Saturday afternoon.

An air quality alert is in effect for most of Metro Detroit as we head throughout the day on Saturday. With the more humid conditions rolling into the region, and a light wind our air quality will go into the orange range, which is the unhealthy for sensitive groups. When the air quality gets into this range, it is recommended that, when possible, you avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially for people with respiratory diseases, such as asthma.

Looking heading to the end of the weekend on Sunday, we are going to have a cold front move through the region, and with the moisture remaining, we cannot rule out the chance of a few showers and thunderstorms as we had from Sunday afternoon and into Sunday evening. High temperature is heading for the middle 80s by Sunday afternoon.

Dry weather returns for the start of next week on Monday. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds as we head throughout the day, temperatures still feeling like summer, we will head for the upper 80s by Monday afternoon.

Our next chance of showers and thunderstorms rolls into the region for Tuesday and Wednesday. High is heading for the middle 80s on Tuesday afternoon, then dropping into the lower 80s by the time we get to Wednesday.

Cooler changes roll into the region for the end of the week, expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds on Thursday giving way more sunshine than anything by Friday. High temperatures dropping into the middle 70s on Thursday, then lower 70s by the time we get to the end of the week on Friday.
