4WARN WEATHER – Storms are expected to move through Metro Detroit on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week.
Storm chances Monday
Showers and storms are moving through in the afternoon.
North of I-69 is a stronger cluster of storms, while storms south of I-69 will be isolated in coverage.
More storms are likely throughout the day, but it won’t be a widespread, all-evening type of event.
Strong damaging winds and hail will be the biggest concerns. We are in a marginal risk for severe weather (level 1 of 5).
More showers, storms next 2 days
More showers and storms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The next two days could get messy, as the exact timing of storms is highly dependent on small-scale features.
The best chance for rain and storms Tuesday arrives later in the afternoon and evening. We are in a marginal risk for severe weather, with strong damaging winds being the biggest threat.
On Wednesday, a few showers are possible in the morning. But those chances are not great. A slightly better chance comes later at night.
We are again under a marginal risk for severe weather Wednesday, expected for Monroe County, which has a slight risk (level 2 of 5).
Weekend rain
It’s a ways out, and long-range data isn’t in agreement, but there’s a chance of rain on Sunday.
We’re hoping for dry time Saturday and Monday, but this part of the forecast will need to be fine tuned over the coming days as more data comes in.
