4Warn Weather – It is cool and breezy on this Memorial Day, including some areas of wet weather.
Winds have been blowing from out of the west-southwest and southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Alerts
A low water advisory will expire at 11 p.m. Monday for western Lake Erie.
A small craft advisory is in effect for all near-shore waters of Lake Huron, Lake St. Clair, and Lake Erie in Southeast Michigan until 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Besides windy, it will be mostly cloudy with the chance of a few overnight showers moving into the region. The better chance will be north of 8 Mile Road. Lows will be in the lower to mid 50s.
Tuesday
Tuesday, it will be cool, breezy, and rainy in Metro Detroit. Rain showers are likely to become widespread during the morning commute. Then, there will be the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be around 70 degrees. Winds will be out of the west at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
A few showers will linger into the night. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Lows will fall to the lower to mid 50s.
Wednesday
Isolated showers will be possible Wednesday morning, but clouds will decrease during the afternoon. Temperatures will struggle with highs in the mid to upper 60s. It will be chilly at night as temperatures dip to the lower to mid 40s. Normal highs are in the mid 70s in Metro Detroit, and the normal lows are in the mid 50s.
Thursday
A high-pressure system will provide mostly sunny skies on Thursday, but temperatures will make little improvement. Highs will be around 70 degrees. Under mostly clear skies, lows will again be in the lower to mid 40s.
Friday
Skies will remain mostly sunny on Friday. Highs will reach the mid 70s, which is normal for late May. At night, a few clouds will build as the high-pressure system moves east and a low-pressure system nears. Lows will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Weekend
Saturday and Sunday will see temperatures returning to around 80 degrees, but the rain will also return. A few rain showers will move in on Saturday night and stick around for Sunday.
