Southeast Michigan is at slight risk for severe weather midweek, with gusty winds, heavy rain

Tuesday highs in upper 80s; Wednesday highs in lower 80s

4Warn Weather – Monday is a picture-perfect night for the Ford Fireworks!

Clear skies and a light breeze will make for a very pleasant experience downtown Monday night for the big fireworks display.

This year’s weather is a pleasant surprise compared to last year’s rain and chilly temperatures. Overnight temperatures will drop into the mid-60s, providing a comfortable environment for outdoor activities.

Tuesday

Tuesday brings a chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm in the morning and again at night. The SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has placed Southeast Michigan at a slight risk for severe weather, the lowest threat level.

Gusty winds and heavy rain are the primary threats just after the morning commute. Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s with a touch more humidity. Another chance for storms comes overnight Tuesday into the early morning hours Wednesday.

Wednesday

There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms, mainly south of I-94, on Wednesday. Most of the day will be partly sunny and pleasant, with highs in the low 80s.

Thursday

It’s nice and dry for the start of the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Thursday, with sunshine and highs in the 70s.
