4Warn Weather – We have a beautiful summer day across Metro Detroit to start the work week!
Plenty of sunshine will allow temperatures to reach seasonal highs in the low 80s on this Monday. Expect low humidity and light winds today.
For the Ford Fireworks show tonight, expect a picture perfect forecast. Temperatures will be in the 70s and skies will be mostly clear. Again, we’ll have light winds and low humidity.

Tonight’s sunset is at 9:14 p.m.
Clouds will build after midnight ahead of a rainmaker arriving Tuesday morning.
Storm chances return
Mother Nature may have her own encore performance with “booms” of her own Tuesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday morning across Southeast Michigan.
Showers and storms will begin moving into the area from the west at around 6 a.m. We’ll receive a nice dose of wet weather through the morning hours as the showers and storms push east.
By 11 a.m., much of the rain will have moved out, expect maybe for those more south.
Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
An additional round of thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night into early Wednesday, mainly south of I-69. The computer model data is inconsistent on when and if these storms will arrive. There is marginal risk (level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms later in the day.
Gusty winds and flooding may be possible amid any storms on Tuesday. We won’t rule out hail, either. There is a low threat for tornadoes.
Slightly cooler, more rain
Cooler and less humid air will move back into the area late Wednesday, and it’ll last through Thursday. We’ll stay on either side of 80 degrees through midweek, with temperatures rising to around 90 degrees by Saturday.
Saturday, the day of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, is the day we will most likely see showers and storms.
