There is a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) that the storms will become severe across Southeast Michigan. Severe storms may bring strong winds and some flooding due to heavy rainfall.
Northwestern Michigan was seeing heavy storms early this morning. Those showers and storms were moving southeast toward our region, and were expected to be widespread between 7 a.m. and about noon.
Storms will taper off around noon, but another round of storms is possible this evening -- although those storms will likely track along or south of the Ohio state line. Shower and storm chances will continue there throughout the afternoon and evening, though computer model data shows the stronger storms may just stay in Ohio.
