Saturday in Metro Detroit begins with rain; Humidity, high temps expected later

Sunday should be cooler, drier

A soggy morning but hang on there’s hope for a better afternoon!

As much as 2″ of rain has fallen in Metro Detroit overnight. That rain will start to diminish later this morning. It will be very humid later today with highs climbing into the mid 80s.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) continues to keep us in a marginal risk for severe weather. Can’t rule an isolated thunderstorm this evening. Best chance would be in the Tri Cities area between 10 p.m. and midnight.

Cooler and drier for Sunday with highs in the low 60s.

Heat and humidity return for the 4th of July.
