4Warn Weather – A flood watch was issued this Tuesday morning for Washtenaw and Wayne counties, and stretching north into the Thumb region. The watch will go into effect at 11 p.m. Tuesday and last until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Clouds will win out today with seasonal highs in the low to mid-80s.
Remnants of Tropical System Beryl will initially bring the chance for isolated to scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening.
If you are heading out to the Detroit Tigers game, check to make sure it isn’t delayed or postponed.
Tonight’s sunset is at 9:11 p.m.
More widespread rain, which will be heavy at times, will move in starting late tonight/early Wednesday morning.
Rainy Wednesday
Rain will continue through Wednesday, ending early Thursday morning. About 1-3 inches of rain accumulation is likely across a good portion of Southeast Michigan during that time. Some areas may see higher amounts of rain accumulation at or above 4 inches, which is why a flood watch was issued.
This is a good reminder to keep checking your sump pumps on Wednesday, since that will be a lot of rain in a short amount of time.
Warm weekend ahead
A stretch of above average temperatures is expected to begin this weekend and continue into early next week as temperatures flirt with 90 degrees.
