Metro Detroit begins workweek with some rain, storm chances

Popup showers, thunderstorms in forecast Monday afternoon

4WARN WEATHER – Metro Detroit is kicking off the workweek with a few spotty rain chances.

Monday morning was mild, with humidity on the rise and temperatures mainly in the 60s.

Temperatures top out in the low to mid-80s Monday, while popup showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast during the afternoon and Tuesday.

Not everyone will get rain, but just be prepared if you do.

Sunset is at 9:02 p.m. Monday.

Rest of the week

I can’t rule out patchy fog by Tuesday morning that will burn off with more sunshine forecasted.

More numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon, as a cold front tracks through the region.

Otherwise, near average conditions over the next seven days, with highs ranging from the low to upper 80s.

This upcoming weekend appears to be warm and dry.
