Thunderstorm chances linger in Metro Detroit before dry stretch of weather

Cold front tracks through area

4WARN WEATHER – A soggy start this morning after Tuesday night’s rain.

Remnant moisture will aid in more rain chances on Wednesday

There is a chance of thunderstorms this morning through early afternoon as a cold front tracks through the area. Isolated strong storms will be capable of wind gusts in excess of 40 mph, hail in excess of a half inch, and heavy downpours.

Storm motion will be west to east at 35 mph. Highs will be in the low 80s.

Sunrise is at 6:19 a.m. Sunset is at 9 p.m.

Rest of week

Dry weather returns Thursday into the weekend as temperatures gradually warm each day. We dip to around 80 the next two days before pushing to near 90 degrees on Sunday into early next week.

We begin a nice, long dry stretch tomorrow through the weekend thanks to high pressure.
