Hot, humid weather with storm chances moving into Metro Detroit

Temperatures will be in the mid 80s to near 90 degrees next week

It’s getting hot out there. So, wear your lightweight clothes.

Saturday night’s temperatures will fall to the mid 50s to lower 60s in Southeast Michigan under clear skies.

Sunday

The heat and humidity will increase on Sunday. Temperatures will surge into the upper 80s. Winds will be out of the southeast around 5 mph. The high-pressure system, which glided across the region and delivered sunny skies, will move away from Michigan. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon and mostly cloudy late.

A shower shower will be possible during the overnight hours. Lows will be in the upper 60s overnight into Monday morning.

Monday

A few showers will be in the area around the Monday morning commute. Then, showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will top out in the mid 80s, but the humidity will make it feel muggy and warmer. The chance of showers will continue into Monday night as temperatures fall to the upper 60s.

Tuesday

Showers and thunderstorms will return by Tuesday afternoon with the approach of a cold front. Highs are likely to be in the mid 80s.

Wednesday

A few showers will be left in the area for early Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 80s to 90 degrees.

The rest of the week will be hot with a mix of sunshine and clouds and a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid to 90 degrees.
