Metro Detroit has scattered storm chances amid heat and humidity

Storms in morning, early afternoon Tuesday

4WARN WEATHER – Showers and a few thunderstorms will be around Tuesday in Southeast Michigan.

Most of the wet weather will come in the morning and early afternoon, mainly in the Thumb and Tri-Cities area.

Severe weather is not likely, but locally heavy rainfall will be possible in areas that see showers.

The humidity will linger all week. Clouds win out in the morning before slowly breaking in the evening.

Clearing skies tonight, with fog possible. Lows on either side of 70. Sunset is at 8:54 p.m.

It will be warm through the week, with additional chances for storms. Highs over the next couple of days will be in the upper 80s, feeling like the 90s with the heat index.

Drier air will build back in by the second half of the weekend into early next week.
