Metro Detroit to see storm chances following hot, muggy weather

4WARN WEATHER – Soupy, sticky, sweltering -- call it what you want, but this muggy weather is hanging around for a long time.

Overnight skies will be mostly cloudy with lows around 70 degrees.

Friday will be humid but not quite as hot as the past couple of days with a high in the mid-80s. Scattered to more numerous showers and thunderstorms could pop up as well.

Weekend forecast

The weekend will bring sunshine and warm weather with highs in the upper 80s feeling more like the 90s. A weak cool front Sunday is our first shot at some relief from the heat and humidity.

See you tonight at 6 and 11 p.m.
