Rain chances mostly hold off until weekend as beautiful weather continues in Metro Detroit

High temperatures in low 80s through Thursday

4WARN WEATHER – Rain chances are mostly going to hold off until the weekend as this beautiful stretch of weather continues in Metro Detroit.

It was a calm, cool start to your Monday morning, as temperatures slid overnight under mostly clear skies. There are exactly 14 hours of daylight time today, if you are keeping track.

Mostly sunny skies in the morning gives way to partly sunny skies in the afternoon, with isolated showers possible, but not likely.

High temperatures will top out around 80 degrees.

The Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak, as well. Viewing is best after midnight up in the North/Northeastern sky. Look for 20-25 meteors per hour from the suburbs, while 50 or more could be possible under dark rural skies.

Sunset is at 8:38 p.m.

Temperatures stay in the low 80s through Thursday, with a mainly dry stretch. Rain chances increase Friday and into the weekend.
