One more day of rain before drier, cooler weather moves into Metro Detroit

Scattered showers and thunderstorms through end of the weekend

Another day of showers and a few thunderstorms is possible with some sunshine as well (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After a semi-soggy start to the weekend with some sunshine as well as some rain showers and thunderstorms, we will rinse and repeat the same forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday.

Thanks to a slow moving area of low pressure, the active weather will stick around on Sunday. Much of the same can be expected, a little sunshine, a few showers and a few thunderstorms, especially into the afternoon and evening. High temperatures just a few degrees cooler, will head into the upper 70s by Sunday afternoon.

As that low pressure center works off to the east, we will dry things out as we look ahead into the first part of next week. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds for Monday, before mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for Tuesday. High temperature is remaining below average into the 70s to start next week. It will be a little breezy to start next week as well, winds gusting as high as 20-25 MPH throughout the day.

We’re going to watch a dip in the jet stream move through the region as we go throughout the first part of next week. That is going to bring cooler air in from Canada, and the below average temperatures back into the forecast. Expect high temperatures into the 70s, and overnight lows Monday night through Wednesday night to be into the 50s. A few more days ahead to give the air-conditioning a break and open the windows.

We keep dry all the way through the end of week, warm up on the way by the end of the week on Friday. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds by the end of the week with high temperatures back into the lower 80s by Friday.

The dry weather also sticks around into the start of next weekend as well. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds, temperatures getting even warmer and going above average, heading into the middle 80s for next Saturday.
