Get ready for fall-like weather.
Showers will wind down Sunday night, but a few sprinkles will be possible overnight with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be around 60 degrees near Detroit and mid 50s near Ann Arbor, Howell, and Lapeer.
Monday
Below-normal temperatures will further cool on Monday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s in the Thumb and lower 70s in Metro Detroit. Although it will feel like autumn, you will have to pass on making a bonfire due to the gusty winds. Northerly winds will be 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. Most of Southeast Michigan will remain dry, but there is a slight chance of a few showers over the Thumb.
Monday night, it will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid 50s in Detroit and around 50 degrees in Ann Arbor and Lapeer.
Tuesday
Cool, dry air will continue to flow over Southeast Michigan from the north. Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Nighttime lows will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Midweek and Late Week
Under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, temperatures will start to gradually warm midweek. Highs will be in the mid 70s on Wednesday, upper 70s on Thursday, lower 80s on Friday, and mid 80s next weekend.
Metro Detroit’s normal highs and lows for mid-August are 81 and 63 degrees, respectively.
