Warm front brings hot temperatures back to Metro Detroit

Friday, highs in lower 80s; Saturday highs in upper 80s

4Warn Weather – It felt like fall earlier this week, but typical summer weather is making its return.

Thursday’s pleasant weather will continue into the overnight hours with mostly clear skies. It will be cool with lows in the mid 50s near Detroit and lower 50s near Adrian, Ann Arbor, Dundee, Brighton, Wixom, Lapeer, and Sandusky. Light winds will become calm.

Friday

Take the sunglasses and jacket when you leave out Friday morning, but you might need the air conditions by the afternoon. Temperatures during the morning commute will be in the 50s and lower 60s. During the afternoon, highs in the upper 70s to 80 degrees. The normal high is 81 degrees, and the normal low is 63. Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. A stray shower will be possible during the afternoon or evening over the Thumb.

Friday night, we will have an increase in clouds. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees.

Saturday and Sunday

High-pressure systems will largely influence our weather this weekend. Under partly cloudy skies, daytime temperatures will rise to the mid 80s on Saturday and Sunday. Overnight temperatures will fall to the mid to upper 60s.

Monday and Tuesday

A warm front will move across Southeast Michigan late Monday, which will be followed by a cold front on Tuesday.

Monday will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, while the heat index will reach the lower 90s. Monday night, it will be partly to mostly cloudy.

Tuesday will be hot, but Southeast Michigan will have a slight chance of rain showers as the cold front approaches and crosses over the region. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Lows will be in the mid 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday

A low chance of showers will continue into Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will remain near to above normal through the end of the week.
