4Warn Weather – There is a chance of severe weather decreasing Friday night, but we are not entirely out of the woods yet.

This is especially true north of I-69, where severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Genessee and Lapeer counties.

The line of storms that developed to our west is moving at a ridiculously slow pace.

Most of the line is running out of steam, but we remain in a very unstable air mass, so any one of these storms could still have enough energy to become strong. I will be here throughout the evening to keep you updated.

Everything is on the table: wind, hail, flooding, and an isolated tornado are not out of the question.

Overnight, there could be a few showers and possibly a couple of thunderstorms.

Saturday

Saturday morning starts out cloudy, but sunshine will burn through the clouds, leaving us with a nice start to the holiday weekend.

Sunday

A very weak cold front moves through Sunday and could touch off a sprinkle, but other than that, it looks like a dry, pleasant Labor Day weekend.

I’m tracking the storms until we get the all-clear. I’ll see you at 11 p.m.
