Dry weather, cooler temps for Sunday and Labor Day around Metro Detroit

Below average temperatures move in with some clouds for Sunday

Winds will be gusting up to 20 MPH looking ahead through the day on Sunday (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – We are expecting another cold front to drop through the region working throughout the day on Sunday.

This will bring the isolated chance of a shower, but most places will stay dry. High temperatures heading into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees by Sunday afternoon.

Behind the front, it will be breezy as well. Winds will switch around to the Northwest bringing in the cooler air, and we could see winds gusting as high as 20 MPH.

Looking ahead to Labor Day on Monday, we will see high pressure build into the region, so expect plenty of sunshine for the holiday. Cooler temperatures will be the headline on Monday as we will only see the lower 70s by Monday afternoon.

High pressure is going to stick around for the majority of next week, keeping the dry weather into the forecast. We will cool things down below average end of the 70s looking ahead into the start of next week, but then we will keep a little cloud cover in towards the middle of the week.

As that high pressure center moves off to the East, we will warm things up again. Expect temperature to start to warm back into the 80s by the end of next week.

Our next chance of rain doesn’t look to move into the region with another cold front until the end of next week on Friday. Rain showers will develop after sunset on Thursday as that front moves into the area, and the end of the week will be soggy with rain showers continuing through the day on Friday.

With that cold front moving through the area, we will bring another blast of fall-like air looking ahead into the start of next weekend on Saturday. We will also keep the chance of rain showers into the forecast as well. High temperatures heading for the upper 60s by the first part of next weekend.
