Sunny, seasonal Wednesday ahead of temperature roller coaster in Metro Detroit

Rain chances stay away until Friday with a chilly weekend ahead

4Warn Weather – It’s another chilly start. Make sure to layer up, as we will be warming up this afternoon so you can lose a layer or two later today.

Sunrise is at 7:02 a.m.

Our pleasant stretch continues as sunshine and seasonal temperatures build in today with highs around 80. Enjoy this now as we have a little weather whiplash ahead. It’s also worth noting that tonight is our last sunset after 8 p.m. until April as our daylight time dwindles by a couple of minutes each day.

Sunset is at 8:01 p.m.

Dry weather continues through Thursday as temperatures feel more July-like with highs in the mid-80s. A cold front will usher in our next chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday.

This could impact high school football games Friday night. In the wake of that front, we turn cooler this weekend with lingering rain showers early Saturday. Hopefully, we dry out in time for college football on Saturday, but it will likely be breezy.

As for Sunday night football in Detroit, tailgating will be cool, but we should be dry! Highs over the weekend will feel more October-like, topping out in the 60s. We bounce back into the 70s with sunshine early next week.
