4Warn Weather – The summery weather will cease behind an approaching cold front.

A few showers and a rumble of thunder will be possible Thursday night ahead of a cold front that will arrive from the west Friday morning. Lows will be in the lower to mid-60s. Winds will be out of the south-southeast at 5 to 15 mph near Detroit.

Friday

Friday morning will begin with rain showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in Southeast Michigan. Take a rain jacket and umbrella, and allow extra time for your commute. The shower activity should wind down during the afternoon.

That means the Local 4 Game of the Week featuring Muskegon Mona Shores vs. River Rouge has a good chance of being dry. Besides the chance of rain, it will be mostly cloudy and cool. Highs will be in the lower 70s. Northwesterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph.

It will be mostly cloudy on Friday night, with lows around 50 degrees.

Saturday

Are you heading to the Big House to watch Michigan take on Texas? Cooler air will grip Southeast Michigan on Saturday. It will feel like October. A few showers will be possible over the Thumb early. Then, a few more showers are possible across the region during the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower to mid-60s. Overnight temperatures will dip as low as the lower to mid-40s.

Sunday

We are going “All In” for the Lions, and the weather looks to do the same. Tailgaters will enjoy a mostly sunny Sunday, but there will be the chance of a stray shower over the Thumb. Highs will be in the upper 60s to 70 degrees. Nighttime skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear. Lows will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Workweek

Monday will bring warmer weather and continued sunshine. Highs will be in the mid-70s to 80 degrees. We will have similar sky conditions through at least midweek, but temperatures will increase to the lower to mid-80s.
