Another reason to celebrate: Winning weather in Metro Detroit

Highs return to 80s this week in Southeast Michigan

4WARN WEATHER – How’s the weather? The excitement is in the air on this game day.

After a cold start to Sunday with temperatures in the 40s, temperatures rose into the lower 70s during the afternoon. Lions fans will enjoy decent weather in Downtown Detroit, but it will be cool.

A couple of sprinkles are possible in the Thumb on Sunday night. Otherwise, under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, overnight lows will range from around 50 degrees in Ann Arbor to 55 degrees in Detroit. Most of Southeast Michigan will have lows in the lower 50s. Winds will be out of the west-southwest at 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Monday

Monday will see the return of normal temperatures with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Highs will be around 80 degrees in Metro Detroit.

Lows will be in the lower to mid 50s. While nighttime skies will be mostly clear, there is a chance for patchy fog to develop as the light westerly wind calms.

Through Weekend

From Tuesday through the weekend, expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will reach the lower to mid 80s. Lows will go from the 50s to the 60s.

The average highs this week are in the mid 70s in Metro Detroit, and the average lows are in the mid 50s.
