4Warn Weather – The heat is making its way back into Southeast Michigan.
Monday’s temperatures returned to near normal with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s, and it will get even hotter by midweek.
Monday night’s lows will be in the lower 50s in Adrian, Ann Arbor, Howell, Grand Blanc, Lapeer, Sandusky, and Port Huron. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s in Canton, Southgate, Rochester Hills, Eastpointe, and Monroe.
Southeast Michigan will have partly cloudy to mostly clear skies at night, but patchy fog will develop and potentially impact travel. The fog could become dense in some communities and reduce visibility to a quarter-mile or less.
Tuesday
It may be helpful to allow extra time for the Tuesday morning commute. The fog will dissipate by mid-morning and leave Southeast Michigan with partly cloudy skies. Afternoon temperatures will peak in the upper 70s to 80 degrees. Southeasterly winds will be 5 to 10 mph.
Patchy fog is possible again Tuesday night in some spots. Otherwise, it will be mostly clear. Lows will range from 55 to 60 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the lower to mid 80s, which is around 10 degrees above normal. The average high for midweek is 76 degrees.
Tropical Weather
Tropical Storm Francine, which is forecast to become a hurricane by Tuesday, is currently on pace to make landfall in Louisiana on Wednesday.
Weekend
The remnants of the storm could bring showers into Southeast Michigan over the weekend and early next week. There will be a chance of showers late Saturday night, Sunday, and Monday depending on the track of the system. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
