Summer weather in Metro Detroit holds for final week of the season

Pockets of shallow fog to persist in morning commute

4Warn Weather – High pressure continues to dominate the area this week, maintaining dry and summer-like weather. Pockets of shallow fog will persist through the pre-dawn hours and may develop again early Tuesday morning.

Mostly sunny Monday with highs well above average, in the low 80s.

Sunset is at 7:40 p.m.

Rest of this week

Seasonably warm and dry conditions prevail through the week. Some increasing clouds are likely by mid-week but otherwise plenty of sunshine remains in the forecast. There is a very slight chance for a stray shower on Wednesday, but not likely. High temperatures drop a few degrees into the upper 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the increased cloud cover before returning to the low 80s Thursday through the weekend. The Autumnal Equinox (first day of fall) is this Sunday.
