4Warn Weather – Areas of dense fog will persist across the region through the morning commute and may require extra time for travel, especially in portions of Monroe, Lenawee, Livingston and Washtenaw counties. The fog will lift shortly after 9 a.m. Just a friendly reminder to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Possibly more clouds than sun on Friday, but we will get some breaks in the clouds. Highs will remain on the warm side, topping out in the low to mid-80s. Believe it or not, we could see rain today! You will likely need to go digging to find your umbrella. It’s been two weeks since we have seen a drop of it and now we are looking at a chance of thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front. A few rumbles of thunder could persist into overnight hours. If you are heading out to high school football tonight, make sure to pack your poncho, but plan for warm weather in the 70s. Not everyone will see the rain as the chances turn pretty scattered as the front weakens as it approaches Southeast Michigan.
Sunset is at 7:33 p.m.
Highs will stay in the 80s through the weekend. We will end a likely 14-day stretch of 80s on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms will again be possible late Sunday into Sunday night. Additional chances for rain stick around through early next week with temperatures sliding into more seasonable 70s.
