After a dry start to the day with sunshine early, the clouds have moved into the region, and we are tracking some welcome rainfall to the region through the evening and overnight hours tonight.
Expect rain showers to overspread the region through into Sunday evening and stick around into the overnight hours. Overnight lows dropping into the lower 60s.
With this frontal boundary pulling off to the east, we will keep the chance of rain showers before sunrise and cloud cover into the forecast to start the week on Monday. High temperatures running about 10° cooler than the end of the weekend, only heading for the lower 70s by Monday afternoon.
Our next frontal boundary rules into the region from Tuesday and into the middle of the week on Wednesday. We will keep the rain showers and a chance for a few thunderstorms into the forecast on Tuesday, and holding onto a chance of rain showers winding down on Wednesday. High temperatures remaining into the 70s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
High-pressure looks to build back into the region for the end of next week. Will keep a filtered Sunshine into the forecast on Thursday, giving way to plenty of sunshine by the end of the week on Friday. High temperatures remaining reasonable into the lower 70s.
Looking ahead into the start of next weekend, we will keep the dry weather into the forecast, but it looks like we’ve got a brief cooldown on the way. High temperatures only making it into the 60s for the start of next weekend.
We are also keeping an eye on the tropics into next week as well. Invest 97L has been named over the Caribbean, and is forecast to become a tropical depression or storm in the next few days. Early guidance data shows that this storm might make landfall over the Florida Peninsula by the end of the week. All interests on the West Coast of Florida and into the Florida Panhandle need to keep a close eye on this as watches and warnings may need to be issued over the next few days. If this data verifies, we may need to bring rain chances into our forecast for the end of next weekend after this system makes landfall.
