Baseball weather: Warmest day of the week

Rain chances creep in for part of the weekend

4Warn Weather – A cloudy and seasonal start, but clouds will give way to sunshine Thursday, so don’t forget your sunglasses! Starting on Sept. 26, we will see more darkness than daylight and will continue to loose daylight time until the Winter Solstice on Dec. 21.

Great baseball weather Thursday for fans heading out to the day game at Comerica Park. This is the warmest day of the week under mostly sunny skies with daytime highs in the mid to upper 70s. Attention shifts to Hurricane Helene which is expected to make landfall in the big bend of Florida later Thursday as a major hurricane. Southeast Michigan could potentially see some of the remnant moisture from this system over the upcoming weekend, but nothing prominent.

Sunset is at 7:23 p.m.

The next chance for rain looks to be Friday night into Saturday for areas along/south I-96/696. Lower chances for rain persist through Saturday with a rumble of thunder possible, although it is looking more favorable that the majority of us will be dry Sunday into early next week.
