4Warn Weather – After a dry end to the week, all eyes are on the tropics as Hurricane Helene made landfall early on Friday morning as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 140 mph. We will be keeping an eye on this system as it has weakened, and it will have an impact on our forecast, looking ahead into the weekend.
We will keep the active weather into the forecast Thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Helene moving into the Ohio Valley. Cloud cover will stick around, and chances for rain showers all weekend long. High temperatures heading into the low to mid 70s throughout the entire weekend.
We will keep the chances of rain showers into the forecast, looking ahead into early next week, but I am looking for a little bit of sunshine to move into the region as well, as another cold front works into the region. High temperatures into the middle 70s to start the week, will drop into the lower 70s by the time we get to Tuesday.
High-pressure builds into the forecast, looking ahead into the middle and end of next week, but it brings some cooler changes. High temperatures dropping into the 60s by Wednesday, warming back into the 70s by Thursday.
We bring another chance of rain showers into the forecast by the end of next week on Friday, high temperatures remaining in the 70s by Friday afternoon.
