Mild Monday in Metro Detroit to end a warm September

Approaching cold front ushers in rain to start October

4Warn Weather – Another mild morning as we wake up in the 60s under mostly cloudy skies. The early morning lows are about ten degrees above average.

Highs will be in the low to mid-70s today. We briefly dry out for the start of the work week before rain returns Tuesday. If you are tailgating outside of Ford Field Monday night, plan for mostly to partly cloudy skies and pleasant temps in the 70s.

Sunset is at 7:16 p.m.

Patchy fog will likely develop Tuesday morning as moisture is drawn north in advance of approaching cold front. We will see a boost in temperatures before the front ushers in a cooler air mass. Plan for mid to upper 70s on Tuesday ahead of lows falling into the 40s Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The next chance of showers and a few thunderstorms will come on Tuesday afternoon as this front crosses the area. Highs will fall into the upper 60s Wednesday and we round out the week in the 70s.
