After some sunshine to end the week, we are going to keep the dry weather into the forecast looking ahead into the first part of the weekend.
High-pressure will firmly control the forecast, that means expect lots of sunshine as we head throughout the day. Temperatures cooler behind our frontal boundary that moved in for the end of the week. High temperatures heading into the 60s to start the weekend.
We will increase the cloud cover we had through the overnight and early on Sunday morning, but if you are looking to get outside and view the northern lights that are possible tonight, the earlier the better is that cloud cover will increase after midnight in advance of another final boundary moving in tomorrow. Overnight lows dropping Into the middle 50s.
Looking ahead into the end of the weekend, we’re going to have a cold front swing through during the morning hours on Sunday. This will bring a chance of rain showers to start the day, but the end of weekend will not be a complete washout. High temperatures will be warmer, heading into the middle of 70s by Sunday afternoon. It will also be breezy as we head throughout the day with wind gusting as high as 25 miles an hour throughout much of the day on Sunday.
Looking ahead to next week, high-pressure will firmly control the forecast for the majority of the week. Will keep a little cloud cover in with some sunshine on Monday before more sunshine than anything looking heading into the middle of next week. Temperatures will be much more seasonable as well, into the middle 60s for the majority of next week
We’ll keep some sunshine into the forecast with a little more cloud cover looking ahead into the end of next week on Friday. High temperatures warmer, warming into the low to mid 70s by the end of the week on Friday.
We’re also keeping an eye on the tropics once again, as it looks like another tropical system could develop in the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the weekend and into early next week. As of right now, the data shows that this system could be a subtropical or tropical depression, and strengthen as it moves toward the Florida peninsula by the middle portions of next week. If you have travel plans in the southeastern United States looking ahead into next week, you will want to keep a very close eye on this forecast. If this storm did get a name, the next name on the list would be Milton.
