Sweater weather: Sunny and seasonal 60s for a stretch of days

Dry weather and cooler temperatures hold through midweek

4Warn Weather – This week’s weather pattern will definitely bring the ingredients needed for more fall color change across the area. Grab the shades as you head out the door Monday and a sweater. Highs pressure brings us sunshine, but the air mass behind Sunday’s cold front will be noticeably cooler.

Morning clouds will quickly give way to mostly sunny skies. Not as windy as yesterday, but still breezy with gusts near 20 mph.

Sunset is at 7:04 p.m.

Sunny skies are forecasted this week as the region holds on the edge of high pressure. Breezy conditions can be expected again Tuesday. Clearer nights also bring colder temperatures with frost possible both Tuesday and Wednesday nights in the suburbs. Heading out to Comerica Park on Wednesday? Plan for plenty of sunshine and mid to upper 60s. Similar setup on Thursday for folks heading to Little Caesars Arena for the Red Wings game. We will rise into the 70s on Friday and Saturday with a slight chance for rain late Saturday into early Sunday.

Hurricane Milton: There is an increasing risk of life-threatening storm surge for portions of the west coast of the Florida Peninsula beginning Tuesday night or early Wednesday. The current track has the eye of the storm hitting just south of Sarasota by late Wednesday as a major hurricane.
