Chilly start ahead of a sunny and seasonal Wednesday in Metro Detroit

Frost possible again Wednesday night

4Warn Weather – It might be a chilly start, but the Tigers are hot! Grab the shades as you head out the door Wednesday and a sweater as we continue our sunny and seasonal stretch.

Fewer clouds today, but still a little breezy this afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Great baseball weather at Comerica Park! There is another chance of frost tonight in the suburbs, likely over a wider area than last night as temperatures will likely be a smidge cooler.

Sunset is at 7:00 p.m.

Quiet weather through the rest of the work week with temperatures near average. We get a brief surge into the 70s on Friday before a cold front crosses early Saturday bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance for widely scattered showers. There is a better chance for rain on Sunday. We then dip below average next week with highs forecasted in the 50s.

Hurricane Milton: Milton is a Category 5 hurricane with sustained winds up to 160 mph as of 5 a.m. Advisory from the National Hurricane Center. It is centered 300 miles southwest of Tampa and is tracking to the northeast at 14 mph. Milton will make landfall on the Florida Gulf Coast as a major hurricane overnight into early Thursday, likely sometime between 1 to 3 a.m. The track has the eye of the storm hitting anywhere from Tampa to Sarasota. Destructive, life-threatening storm surge is expected along the western Florida Gulf Coast, 10-15 feet, which will overtake one-story buildings. Devastating hurricane-force winds will occur near the coast and well inland through central Florida. In fact, the track has this moving out on the Atlantic side around Cocoa beach midday Thursday with hurricane force winds. Catastrophic and life-threatening flash flooding from rainfall is also expected. Several tornadoes are possible in the Florida Peninsula today as well.
